Sisterlocks are a type of very small, natural dreadlock created with a special tool that builds them from the ends to the roots, rather than by twisting. They are maintained by interlocking. Their key distinguishing feature is their tiny size with parts ranging from 1/8 to 3/8 of an inch wide. This results in a high quantity of individual locs, with a typical count of 250 to 400. They are suitable for all natural hair types and textures.

Microlocks are a smaller, less bulky version of traditional dreadlocks. They are created by techniques like braiding and twisting, and are defined by their very small size (smaller than a pencil, sometimes as thin as yarn). The installation process is straightforward but incredibly time-consuming. They can be started with either braids (which are more secure) or two-strand twists (which are faster to install); both will eventually matt into a loc.Choosing microlocks is a long-term journey that progresses through different stages as the hair grows.
SISTERLOCKS EXTENSIONS
Sisterlocs extensions are a method of adding length to natural hair using the proprietary Sisterlocs installation technique. Unlike traditional braid-and-sew or crochet methods, these extensions are integrated directly at the tip of an existing Sisterloc (a very fine, interlocking-style dreadlock) to create a seamless and natural-looking blend. The core principle is to match the hair extension perfectly to the client's existing locs in size, texture, and behavior so that the transition is virtually undetectable. Pre-booking is required for preparation, and various colors are available.
The Process
We assesses the client's hair, goals and the condition of their existing locs to determine the best approach. The hair extensions are human hair that is texturized to match the unique, soft, and fluffy texture of mature Sisterlocs. This is a critical step. We use a specialized tool and interlocking technique. Interlocking the natural hair and the hair extension together at the tip, creating a single, strong and unified loc.

The interlocking method doesn't require glue, heat, or thread, making it a less damaging option for the natural locs at the root and tip.
