KNOTLESS BRAIDS

 Knotless braids are a type of box braid designed to be pain-free and reduce tension on the scalp. The key difference is that they are knot-free. Unlike traditional box braids that start with a tight knot at the root, knotless braids are started with the client's own hair. The stylist then gradually feeds in the braiding hair as they braid down the length, eliminating the need for a bulky, tight knot at the base. 

 Box braids are a popular protective hairstyle, particularly within African communities. They are characterized by their square-shaped partings ("boxy" divisions) and are designed to be worn for extended periods to promote natural hair growth and protect the ends. They are typically installed using synthetic hair, which adds both length and thickness to the natural hair that is braided inside.
